While I joke about how Soph is so 'watered down' that she no longer looks Japanese at all (thanks irish eric), sometimes when Sophie is sleeping I get a small glimpse of my beautiful Grandma in her. Both of my grandparents have passed on but I know that they are keeping a close eye on us and I strive to make them proud. I only hope to one day raise my child to be as caring, generous, hardworking, and loyal as my grandparents had been.
